On-Site Support Guidelines – COVID-19 Re-Opening Phase

Unique Computing Solutions has always taken pride in being able to lead the way in advanced network and IT solutions coupled with the superior customer service that our clients have come to expect. On the heels of several countries, states, and communities set to begin a strategic re-opening process, we wanted to keep you up to date on what we are doing internally and how we plan to move forward in this new normal.

Beginning Tuesday, May 19th, our technicians will resume dispatching and on-site support operations with the following updated restrictions in place.

A Safe Approach

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as masks, gloves, and/or goggles will be used by technicians at their discretion based on the environment and proximity of others.
  • Technicians will keep a minimum of 6 feet of distance from all staff at your location and we kindly ask that you are your staff respect the same safety boundaries.
  • If any member of our team should become exposed, display symptoms, or test positive for COVID-19, they will be isolated/quarantined and our Administrative Staff will be in contact with you via e-mail or phone call to provide information and updates as well as additional options related to your on-site support needs.
  • Technicians have been instructed to evaluate the environment and safety precautions necessary for required tasks prior to and when arriving on-site at your location. If at anytime a technician feels uncomfortable or at risk, they have been advised to remove themselves from the location and reach out to the main point of contact on the project.

Working Together

  • If your location has specific PPE requirements, please notify us ahead of time so that we can properly prepare before arriving on-site.
  • If any member of your team is experiencing any symptoms, may have been exposed, or has tested positive for COVID-19, please notify us immediately so that in turn we can take the proper measures to isolate our staff and alert any other organizations that may have been visited within that time-frame.
  • As we begin visiting your offices and locations, we want to make sure you and your staff feel comfortable as well. If at any time you feel at risk with our technicians being on-site, or would like to reschedule your task for a more convenient time, please reach out to our Administrative Staff who would be happy to provide various options.

Continued Remote Support

  • Our Help Desk will continue to remain open during normal operating hours of 7AM to 4PM, Monday through Friday and technicians will be available for remote support.
  • If you are in need of assistance, please call our Help Desk at 708.922.9444 Option 1, or submit a work ticket/email through the designated outlets.

Like many, we are anxious and eager to get back to supporting our valued clients but are mindful that this must be done with the utmost attention to detail, safety and security of you and your staff as well as our own team. As with all aspects of these unprecedented times, our actions will need to remain fluid and adapt to any changing recommendations made by the CDC as well as local, state and federal government agencies. If and when we are apprised of new guidelines or restrictions that may impact the availability for on-site support, we will provide updates and communications via e-mail or phone call.

Over the past several weeks, our team has been fortunate enough to continue working and providing the remote support needed for essential organizations to remain open across the Chicagoland area and we look forward to systematically adding back on-site support and project assistance when and where deemed appropriate.

As we begin this new journey forward, we ask for your continued patience and understanding. It goes without saying that no one wishes to put others or their loved ones at risk during this outbreak, thus we must remain smart about the decisions we all make. What lies ahead is still unknown, but if trying times have taught us anything it’s that we must continue to work together – safely – to shape a stronger path forward.

Please continue to stay safe and we wish you the very best in the weeks and months ahead.
